1. An occasion on which you lent sth. to another
I have ever come across a unforgettable occasion on which I lent something to another one and a half years ago. It was a book named the Three-body Problem, which was my favorite as the book was just my key to the world of science fictions. About a year and a half, as the summer vacation was coming, one of my former classmates, as well as friends, happened to meet me and it was borrowed from me. Afterwards we have never met each other, therefore the book has not been back by now. I'm missing the book a lot, but compared to the book, I'm missing my friend much more and am expecting a meet again.

The almost only historical building in my hometown is a Confucion Temple. The temple in the Ming Dynasty and has a history of over 700 years. Like all the Confucian temples in China, this temple has been built to honor Confucius. In my hometown, the content is just enough to make it important, as people here are focusing a lot on knowledge and education and think highly of them. But in the view of this area, it is not the content or the form of this temple, but the long history that has made it special.

The almost only historical building in my hometown is a Confucion Temple, which was considered the most important among those in the whole area. The temple was initially built in the Ming Dynasty. Then with several fixes and rebuilds, it has passed over a history of 700 years.
Like all the Confucian temples in China, this temple has been built in honor of Confucius. In my hometown, where people think highly of knowledge and education, the honor to Confucius is just enough to make it so important to people. But in the view of the whole area, it is not the content or the form of this temple, but the long history that has contributed the most to make it special. The precious information passed from over 700 years ago is now considered of the greatest importance as it will be helpful to the research into the Ming culture.

3. A tranditional food item in my hometown
Time has been seeing Chinese toon sprouts enjoying great fame from all over the country. As one of the tranditional food in my hometown, the little toon sprouts now seem a necessity, especially in summer, for everyone here.
The younger the sprouts are, the better tastes they are to provide. So youth is everything for the toon sprouts, and so are we human beings. Chinese toon sprouts, in our view, are praises for youth and urges for us to value the youth. When given as a gift, toon sprouts can mean the best wishes to a new life.
When I was young refusing to have a meal, my grandmother would make some toon sprouts for me in order that I could eat happily. The tastes of toon sprouts has just played an important role in building my memory of childhood as well as my memory of my grandmother's love. The tastes would be remained in my heart and it has resulted in my never-ended love for toon sprouts.

It was when fast food started to gain its popularity that I came across my favorite fast food restaurant, KFC. It has been remaining the position in my mind and is going to be on the future. I had never thought such a reastaurant, whose food by then could be tasted only when one of miy relatives came back after a business trip, would be accessed by foot within 1 km.

The first time I visited the reataurant was.unforgettable. The well-designed indoor and outdoor decoration, the delicious smell,.and even the expectation of the coming tasty food all attracted me at that time. They all contributed to building a wonderful initial image of KFC for me.
Having grown up, I now apppreciate more its creative commercial ideas and their wide use in the restaurants. This restaurant, together with many others around the cointry, is now being put into a stream.of creativity. It has re-decorated and replaced old chairs and tables to make a refreshing look; it's holding piles of activities to drag the attention of the young; its menu is always a combination of classic and new items to suit all tastes. These actions has attracted many customers and also make me think highly of it.
I have often been there to have meals before I knew the harm of junk food. As a result, my weight put on fast, even faster than I could think! Therefore, I seldom eat in KFC now. But I would keep visiting to appreciate its creativity.
